Feb. 21st, 2006 05:48 pmFinally, the moving is all but done. I have some paintings and other random stuff still to pick up, but that's nothing I can't leave until this weekend. This place is actually starting to resemble a home.
Today in the field there was this amazingly friendly cat named Mystic (... I know, but it's not his fault) who followed us all over the property and had the cutest, most plaintive little meow I've ever heard from something not actually a kitten. I just wanted to take him home and cuddle him for hours. That's probably more homesickness talking than anything else, but still. I refuse to own a pet of any kind when I don't have the space or the money to properly take care of one, but nevertheless, I miss my kitty.
Independence is a blessing that's been tossed in a Mixmaster.
