And not JUST rain, mind you, but thunder and lightning as well. I stood out exposed to the elements, watching lightning forks caress the sky, and I was happy. Only one element was missing, which was unfortunate, but then I'll fill that void soon enough.

Even here, the world sometimes shows its beauty. It's important to remember that.

In a little less than an hour, I have to go drive some of my fellow donees into the city for my don's annual dinner. I have never driven into the city before (at least, not while I was in the driver's seat) so this should be interesting. I'll have other people with me, of course, so at least I'll have navigational help, but still, it could be harrowing. The NY highway system: only the strong and unfeelingly obnoxious survive.

I can't wait 'til I'm home.

Also, I'm listening (finally!) to the free CD the band that played after that of the Percussive Ad Master handed out the last time I went to a concert. It's weird, and not my favorite thing, but not too bad. The CD was professionally produced, or so it seems, so I feel like I should have heard of them before... but I haven't.

Reports on the shindig to follow. Will I finally tell off the asshole senior who snubbed me at the end of freshman year? Time will tell...
