Ooo... chills...
Jan. 29th, 2004 09:50 amLove, love, love to Apple.com. They make me excited for upcoming movies, and that happens so rarely these days. This one looks like it could be either really, really cool or a complete flop. Now, I recognize that M. Night Shyamalan has some talent as a director, but I disliked Signs rather a lot, for these reasons: 1)Ya don't show the friggin' monster if you want it to be actually scary-- watch Pitch Black sometime, twinkie. 2) Mel Gibson. 'Nuff zed. 3) Smurfy, smurfy ending. 4) Shyamalan put himself in his own movie. His prerogative, whatever, I don't care. Still wankalicious.
But this... dear god, the hotness. This is like the second coming of the Age of Epics, or something. I mean, Guinevar and her people as Picts? That's hot. And from what I can see of the sets and the costumes... well. Historical accuracy is chancy at best in Hollywood, but this one's gonna be pretty good about it, I can tell. And as if that wasn't enough: Keira Knightley. That's all. British Wynona or no, that girl knows how to work it.
