This is just one of the many reasons I despise organized religion (and Mel Gibson). Though it does salve my distress a bit that the guy in the interview is a religious official who seems to have his head mostly screwed on right.

These people are just so scary. Religious zealotry is one of the few things I fear, because it's implacable and irrational-- you can't appease it (except by converting or dying) and you can't reason with it. All you can do is try to kill its adherents before they kill you.

In other news, the snow is sticking here in B-ville. Gods of my fathers, let us not have class tomorrow... please? I'll sacrifice someone's virginity, just say the word.

I think I'm watching the implosion of a community. boyskissing has been pretty over-the-top with the vitriol lately. It's kind of funny how het up they all are... scenesters and pornies both. As long as it doesn't get me fired from work, I can't say that I care that much.

Wych and I have just moved our cars from the forbidden Carriage House lot to the off-road mire that is Marshall Field lot. Wych's car is definitely stuck, and mine probably is too, but hey, at least we aren't going to be getting the $100 fine with which Facilities (a plague on all their houses!) is slapping anyone parked on main campus.

We also helped a guy (sophomore, I think, and hot in that kinda frat-boy way that, sadly enough, I'm starting to miss after 2.5 years here) get his car unstuck from a narrow lane in MF so he could move it. I think I shall call him Skids, if ever I have cause to write about him again.
