Afghanistan, anyone?
So, my Development prof has made a "strong personal suggestion" that I study a country with more "colonial" experience in its history-- i.e., a country I would never, ever want to visit at any point in my life. Like Ethiopia. I've said it before, I'll say it again-- if it's south of San Francisco or north of Johannesburg, I don't care. I've never liked the sun, and I doubt I ever will.
Well, that's what I get for taking a class from a Maoist.
Eh. It'll probably make me look just as good to grad school, but I still resent being diverted from my interests.
Oh, and my computer is still dead. At least I'm getting lots of reading done. ::sigh::
I don't think it counts as overcoming my urge to procrastinate if I had no choice in the matter.
